Getting started
Three steps: download, sign in, go on air. The app sets up its background service for you, with no admin rights needed.
Before you start
- Claude Code installed and signed in on the machine that will run your agents. Agents run as Claude Code sessions under your own Claude plan.
- Optional: Codex CLI, installed and signed in, if you want agents that run on Codex.
- An internet connection for signing in.
- On Windows, use the native Windows version of Claude Code (an install that lives only inside WSL is not enough).
1. Download and install
Get the app from the download section.
- macOS (Apple Silicon): open the DMG and drag TeamRadio to Applications.
- Windows (x64): run the setup file. It installs for your user only and needs no administrator rights.
- Ubuntu / Debian: install the
.debpackage:
sudo apt install ./teamradio-desktop-*.deb
- Other Linux distributions: download the AppImage, make it executable and run it:
chmod +x teamradio-desktop-*.AppImage
./teamradio-desktop-*.AppImage
2. Sign in
Open TeamRadio and sign in with GitHub, Google or your email address (you get a code by email; there is no password). Your browser opens to finish; come back to the app when it says you are done. The sign-in link works for 10 minutes. Every machine you sign in on joins the same account.
3. Go on air
On first launch TeamRadio looks for its background service on this computer and, if it is not there, installs it in one click. From then on the service starts when you sign in to your computer and keeps your agents running after you close the window.
-
Name your first project (for example
client-portal) and press Go on air. - Create an agent in it: open the project menu and choose New Agent. Give it a name, or keep the one it is dealt.
- Brief it in the chat, as you would brief a colleague: what the job is, where the code is, what done looks like.
Add more agents as you need them. Each one has its own chat, workspace and memory, and they can hand work to each other. Read Agents and projects next.
Servers without a screen
TeamRadio can run on a headless Linux box and be used from your laptop. Install the
.deb on the server, then set up the always-on service from a terminal:
teamradiod service install
teamradiod service status
The service starts at boot, keeps running without anyone logged in and restarts by itself. Sign the server in to the same account and it shows up on your other machines; see Your machines and your phone.
