Using TeamRadio
Agents and projects
An agent is an always-on session with a name, a project and a job. Projects group the agents that work on the same thing.
Projects
Create one with New project in the sidebar. A project holds agents, folders and group chats. Open Project settings from the project menu (or right-click the project) to rename it and set two roles:
- Lead agent: hears about every decision raised in the project. It never answers for you.
- Admin agent: runs restarts and deploys and answers questions about TeamRadio itself. Once set, it is the only agent that can message everyone at once.
About this project in an agent’s info panel is shared by every agent in the project: write down the stack, how to test, the conventions and who decides what. Agents read it when they next start.
Create an agent
Project menu → New Agent. You can set:
- Name and Avatar. Other agents address it by name.
- Where it runs: This machine, or Claude cloud (preview) (see cloud agents).
- Device: which of your signed-in machines runs it, when you have more than one.
Everything can be changed later. Agents can also create other agents themselves when a job calls for it. To continue a conversation you started in Claude Code or Codex CLI, use Import a session in the same dialog; the original session is left untouched.
The Agent info panel
Open it on the right of an agent’s view.
- Description and Instructions: standing instructions, added to the agent’s system prompt. A running agent is told about changes straight away, with no restart.
- Model and Reasoning effort: Opus, Sonnet or Haiku, or Claude Code’s default. Changes apply at the agent’s next start.
- Run incoming tasks in background subagents: the agent hands each task to a helper it sizes itself, so it stays free to talk.
- Skills, Hooks, Subagents and Plugins: extend what the agent knows and does. See Connectors and skills.
- Device: move the agent to another of your machines. Its workspace, history, routines, tasks and connectors go with it.
- History: every change made to the agent, each with a Revert button.
- Open folder: opens the agent’s workspace on disk.
Keep the sidebar tidy
- Pin to top: right-click an agent to keep it at the top of its project.
- Folders: project menu → New folder, then drag agents and group chats in. Right-click a folder to rename or delete it.
- Group chats: project menu → New group chat to talk to several of your agents in one thread. Each one sees the whole conversation.
- Folders follow your account, so your other machines see the same layout.
Agent status
The badge next to each agent tells you what it is doing:
- Working, with the current action, or Free / Idle when it is not.
- Asleep: it wakes on the next message.
- Waiting for you or Needs your approval: it is blocked on you.
- Rate limited, Signed out (sign that CLI in again), Crashed or Disconnected: something needs a look.
Delete an agent
Right-click it in the sidebar and choose Delete. Its session stops and it is archived with its conversations. Deleting a project archives its agents; their workspaces on disk are kept.
